So I commented on a friend's blog this morning(http://www.thatgirlblogs.com/) and realized my comment was the perfect start to my own topic.
I'm a preschool teacher with two kids. I coach my son's U6 soccer team
GO WILDCATS
and am very active helping with my daughter's U14 Select soccer team!
GO ALLIANCE
I will also be helping out with a for fun U14 indoor soccer team for my daughter
GO WILDCATS (no pic on this one it's a new venture)
But that is WAY off topic here - just trying to give you a little insight on why one would say the following to me How do you do it all and still have time in your day, month or year? My normal reponse to the question is Oh it's no big deal...Well guess what - it is a big deal and then to throw in the holidays. It's cruel! I not only have to worry about the normal household holiday stuff but I also have to make my classroom festive and bright for all my little Room Two Rockers! I think I should be dead by now!
My son turned 5 this year which in our household warrants a first trip to Disneyland (I promise this is going somewhere)...So I asked him Disneyland for Christmas or on your break in February? His response Christmas. My thoughts awesome! Now I DO NOT have that much shopping to do, no tree to put up and the best of all we don't have to have ANYONE at our house on Christmas this year! (insert HAPPY dance here)...Not sure about anyone else but I want to be left alone....
Go ahead with the grinchy comments I don't care! I would much rather have a quiet day at home with my kids checking out all our cool stuff than a house full of people that I have to clean up after the next day!
So this holiday season I want to give a huge
THANK YOU
to my son Travis
