We celebrated for our BFF of the month, Kristy Betz! She had a pretty big birthday this year - the big 35...which I can put out there because I have about 3 weeks until I'm the same age - do unto others right?
Okay back to my story...this month the players have changed the only constant are these three lovely ladies, the birthday sash and The Powerhouse Pub!
Our evening started out at the Hacienda with margaritas, beer and shots of vodka! I had 1 margarita because I was the driver on this mission - Kristy on the other hand was not! There were laughs, discussions about cock bites and infections, hot dog barf, Vegas trips and a Perisan man who tried to buy Kristy at a casino while Shannah slept. The birthday girl had a few beers and a few more vodka shots with beer chasers - SICK! Shannah was sure there was going to be barf on the way home but we didn't get a box for the barf so I knew that wasn't going down! Here's what did...
After Kristy got her groove on at the Hacienda to a very bad band we headed over to the Powerhouse Pub. The band for the evening was called Notorious - oh what's that you want to meet them? Have a look...
So there they are..now there is other business to tend to such as the freaks that came out tonight! I am not sure who was working the door but there should be rules - the places was full of oldies, people with weird hair and an Ozzy Osbourne/Meatloaf looking magician! I know right? We got our table and then the big daddy birthday drink came complete with penis straws - one can only imagine..oh wait I have pics!
So after all the penis jokes ended for the moment we headed out to stake our claim on a piece of the dance floor but Stephanie was a little scared to just go out so she reserved our table...as you can see
Don't worry we got her on the floor later! None of us had ever seen the band before so we weren't sure what to expect all we knew was the freaks were out in Old Folsom. The first set pops off and we discover these two ladies that appeared to be stalking us..we first noticed them at the table and then they were right behind us on the dance floor. They were old broads and not very nice - I mean if you want to check us out maybe you should be nice that might get you some where but I doubt it! Right before the end of the first set this other not very nice girl takes Kristy's awesome birthday hat off of her head and hands it to her - apparently it was bumping her or something I don't know but who does that? Kristy takes the hat back from her and puts it back on - I mean duh biz move if you don't like it...she doesn't and so Kristy elbows and pushes her. The stupid girl walks away - fight overted. Set ends and we head back to the table when the Ozzy Osbourne/Meatloaf magician shows up...
He does his magic tricks and bounces after giving Kristy and Shannah his card..OOHH LALA! Then we notice this beauty determined to keep her spot on the dance floor
Yes I am talking about the one in the plaid jumper! Now I have been to the Powerhouse Pub quite a few times and this was the strangest crowd I have EVER seen there - I think they might need to interview for a door screener cause this sshh is bananas- B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Oh well weird/ugly people aside we head back out to finish the night up because the birthday girl is getting tired and has to work the next morning. And let's face it we aren't spring chickens anymore!
It was a great time with my Orangevale ladies - laughing and definately people watching this time around! Best thing about the whole night I wasn't in Weiner Central and I escaped without being molested by any of the band members - Good times! Thanks girls!
